RICHMOND - In reports filed with the State Board of Elections on Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling reported raising over $546,000 during the July 1-August 31 period.  Bolling has more than $1,326,000 cash on hand and he has raised over $2,682,000 for his re-election campaign since its inception in March of 2008.

Bolling received 2,225 contributions during the period, including 1,616 contributions in amounts less than $100, and he has received over 8,200 contributions to date.

"I sincerely appreciate the strong and broad based financial support I have received from thousands of Virginians," said Bolling.  "Raising nearly $550,000 from 2,225 contributors during two months in the middle of the summer is representative of the strength of our message and the momentum behind our campaign.  Virginians recognize my record of accomplishment in the State Senate and as Lieutenant Governor, and they support our plans to create new jobs and solve the education, health care and transportation challenges facing Virginia. I am humbled that so many have been willing to give so much to support my campaign."
