Bolling for Lieutenant Governor

August 14, 2009

Richmond - Today, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling was endorsed by Virginia AgPAC, the political action committee of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation.

Wayne F. Pryor, VFBF President and Chairman of the Virginia AgPAC Board of Trustees, said that Bolling "has proven himself to be a friend of Virginia's agricultural and forestry community.  He has consistently supported the interests of farmers and agriculture. He is a strong supporter of Virginia's Right to Work laws and creating a business-friendly environment."

Speaking about the endorsement, Bolling said, "I'm honored to have received the endorsement of Virginia's farmers. Agribusiness is an important part of Virginia's economy, and I am pleased to have the AgPAC standing with us in this campaign. Our campaign is focused on getting Virginia's economy moving again.  If we pursue the right policies at this critical time, we can assure a more prosperous future for farmers and every other sector of Virginia's economy."

The non-partisan Virginia AgPAC has over 147,000 members statewide and was created by Farm Bureau in 1999. It employs in-kind contributions to support candidates who can best support agriculture and Farm Bureau issues.
