South Boston, VA - Lt. Governor Bill Bolling kept a campaign promise on the Southside Tuesday. Bolling visited South Boston, as part of Governor-elect Bob McDonnell's promise to return to the region at least once a month until the economy rebounds.

Bolling says they want to be in touch with area leaders to see what's working, what's not. He says the want to see what they can do in Richmond to help create jobs. Bolling says they already have an aggressive economic development agenda.

"We're going to be asking the General Assembly to make some major investments in proven economic development and job creation programs, even in these challenging economic times," Bolling said.

The Lt. Governor says the Governor-elect will discuss specific programs when he addresses the General Assembly next week.
