Lynchburg News & Advance Endorses Bolling for Lieutenant Governor
Strongly endorses Bolling for second term saying he served "admirably" in bipartisan manner
RICHMOND - Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling today was endorsed by the Lynchburg News & Advance.
The News & Advance becomes the most recent paper to endorse Bolling's campaign for re-election, joining the Richmond Times Dispatch, Farmville Herald, Bristol Herald Courier, Waynesboro News Virginian, Culpeper Star-Exponent, Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star, News and Messenger and Arlington Sun-Gazette.
The paper "strongly" endorsed Bolling saying he served "admirably" in a bipartisan manner and the Commonwealth would "benefit greatly" from his re-election. They also highlighted Bolling's role as "point man on economic development" in a McDonnell Administration:
"Bolling was first elected lieutenant governor in 2005 and has served admirably with a governor of the opposite party. He readily gives credit to Gov. Timothy M. Kaine for involving him as much as possible in the work of his administration.
Should Bob McDonnell be elected governor, Bolling will be even more involved Richmond, as McDonnell's point man on economic development.
The commonwealth would benefit greatly by the re-election Lt. Gov. Bolling. The News & Advance strongly endorses him for a second term as the commonwealth's No. 2."
