Bolling Reports Over $475,000 Raised During September
Ends fundraising period with nearly $1.25M on hand. Bolling has collected over $3.1M for re-election campaign from over 10,100 donors.
RICHMOND - In reports filed with the State Board of Elections on Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling reported raising over $475,000 during the September fundraising period.
Bolling received 1,978 contributions, including 1,293 contributions in amounts less than $100, and he has received over 10,100 contributions to his re-election campaign to date.
Even after airing three weeks of advertisements on broadcast television, cable and radio around the state, Bolling has nearly $1.25M cash on hand - one third more than his opponent and almost three times as much as he reported at this point in his 2005 campaign. Bolling has raised over $3,158,000 for his campaign since its inception in March of 2008.
"Our fundraising success is a testament to the broad support my campaign has received from every part of Virginia," said Bolling. "Raising nearly $500,000 from almost 2,000 donors in just one month speaks to the momentum and excitement behind our campaign. I'm very gratified that over 10,000 individuals have invested in my campaign to bring new jobs to Virginia, restore fiscal responsibility to state government, fix our transportation system and ensure that our children have access to a world-class education."
