Public Safety
"One of the core responsibilities of state government is keeping the people of Virginia safe from the threat of crime. We can do that by putting more law enforcement officers on our streets and combating important public safety issues like gang violence, Internet sexual predators, illegal drug abuse and domestic violence."
Making Our Communities Safer
Bill Bolling has always been a strong supporter of Virginia's law enforcement community. In fact, in 2000 Bill received the Legislator of Year award from the Virginia Sheriff's Association.
As our Lieutenant Governor, Bill has pursued an aggressive legislative agenda that has worked to put more police officers on our streets, combat gang violence and Internet sexual predators.
Bill's Safe Neighborhoods and Communities program continues the focus on these issues, as well as efforts to combat illegal drug use and domestic violence.
